A very popular question we come across is “are you vegan?” or “are you cruelty-free?”. The simple answer is YES. Kirei is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Being vegan and cruelty-free is something that we are proud of at Kirei. It is a pillar in who we are; it’s apart of our mission and values.
What does being 100% vegan mean?
It means that we do not use ANY animal derived ingredients in ANY of our products. In fact, all of our botanical ingredients are also organically grown and sustainably harvested. We audit our suppliers 2x a year to ensure this.
What does being 100% cruelty-free mean?
Being cruelty-free means we never test our products or ingredients on animals. Ever.
We do however test on ourselves, all the time!
Being cruelty-free also means that we DO NOT sell to China. We do not sell in China because they have an outdated, awful law which requires imported cosmetics to be tested on animals in order to be sold there. For this reason, Kirei is not sold in China.
